CNS Recordings of Lectures

I have granted permission for CNS to record my lectures. The recordings capture a wide shot video of the front of the room, plus audio, plus whatever I'm projecting on one of the screens. These videos are archived and you'll have access all semester long. So if you miss a lecture, you CAN login and view the lecture. You can also pause and have a closer look at what I had on the document-cam or whatever. It's a pretty neat little system.

PLEASE READ THIS DISCLOSURE: In case it isn't now obvious to you, yes the lecture is recorded and YOU might get caught in the recording - especially if you sit way up front or if you walk around (up front) during the lecture time. So if you have an aversion to being on video, sit in the back and put a bag over your head - or something like that.

Go to the link below and READ. It's really quite easy. Click on the Chemistry link and then type in the login name and password - they tell you these right there on the site... for chemistry the login name is "chemistry@cns.utexas.edu" and the password is "chemistry". Once you get in click on the "Chemistry" link under Categories. That will get a full listing of ALL chemistry classes that are being recorded. Find the section you want in the main frame of the page.

Windows users just click on "Launch Event" and they will get everything - the video, the projected screen, and the audio.

Mac Users You can try to launch the event... on your first visit you'll have to install some plug ins. After you do that and relaunch your browser, it should work. Although, it worked for me once, it also didn't work another time. Hopefully your luck will be better.
