Letter Grades have been Submitted

All grades/scores were locked in over the weekend and your letter grades submitted to the registrar. Should be no surprises in that your overall scores have been on Quest for sometime now.

Final Exam has been Graded - the curve is set at +6

Remember, if you took the final exam and have a score, then only methods 1 and 2 are available for your overall grade. No method 3 for anyone that took the final exam. Also remember that Quest doesn't add the curve points, I add those in my own gradebook.

This is now your overall score in the course. See where you land in the grade breaks know what letter grade you will get. The scores you see here are MY GRADEBOOK calculations. Yes, this does include exam curves and the finalized iclicker scores. The grade breaks have not changed and they WILL NOT CHANGE. Remember, methods 1 and 2 are the only methods available to those who took the final exam. Method 3 is the only method for those who didn't take the final exam. Here is HOW the methods work using the percentage scores from quest - note the add-ons for the curves.

Method 1 Overall (final counts 30%)
overall = (3exam avg)0.55 + (final+6)0.3 + (hmwrk avg)0.05 + (iclicker)0.05 + (ALEKS)0.05
3exam avg = average your 3 highest exams (drop lowest exam)
hmwk avg = (sum highest 10 hmwrks)/10

Method 2 Overall (final counts 50%)
overall = (3exam avg)0.35 + (final+6)0.5 + (hmwrk avg)0.05 + (iclicker)0.05 + (ALEKS)0.05
3exam avg = average your 3 highest exams (drop lowest exam)
hmwk avg = (sum highest 10 hmwrks)/10

Method 3 Overall (no final exam)
overall = (4exam avg)0.85 + (hmwrk avg)0.05 + (iclicker)0.05 + (ALEKS)0.05
4exam avg = (e1+e2+e3+3+e4+6)/4
hmwk avg = (sum highest 10 hmwrks)/10
