I Have ALL I need to Calculate your GRADE

Now that the final exam is over, I can now calculate your final letter grade in the course. I do this according to the syllabus. I will NOT even be on campus this week so please don't come looking for me to "talk" about your grades. "Talking" about your scores in no way affects the outcome of your grade. I need to get over 700 grades calculated and turned in, so that is my priority now. Send an email if you must, but I am not available for appointments. Also know there is no such thing as a bump up of like 2 or more points so please don't ask, it simply will not happen. - Dr. McCord

Show Up to FINAL ON TIME!

Student's who show up late for the final exam WILL have a point deduction on the final exam. The later you show up, the more points that will be deducted. Show up on time and ready to go at the START time.

FYI: No Curve on Final Exam

Knowing what we know now, there will NOT be a curve on the final exam. So what you make will stay that way.

We Do NOT Round Grades beyond the 1/100th place!

As stated in the syllabus, we calculate your score to the nearest 1/100th place. Remember, you have to EQUAL or CLEAR the cut-off in order to make that grade. So an 89.99 does NOT get you an A (you get an A-), and a 56.99 doesn't get you a D- (you get an F). If this policy changes I will let you know (it won't). Will you get a bump up in grade? You'll have to WAIT and see. Also, so as not to give students false hope, when a grade is "bumped" that grade has to be within 1/2 point of the cut-off in the first place. Those of you out of that range should prepare for the grade the numbers indicate.

Final Exam Formula Page

Here is the final formulas page you will be given for the final exam this week. This IS essentially page 1 of your exam packet. Anything not there you will need to know on your own. Let me know of any blatant errors or omissions. - Dr. McCord (posted 12:15pm on Sun 12/09)
